Juan Pérez Floristán

Juan Pérez Floristán

He was born in Seville in 1993. Thanks to the pianistic training that he has received from his own mother, Maria Floristán, for almost ten years, he has been in contact with great personalities of the music world, both in Spain and abroad: Daniel Barenboim, Elisabeth Leonskaja (who invited him to the Ruhr Klavier Festival, where he recorded his first CD live), Ferenc Rados, Nelson Goerner, Claudio Martínez-Mehner, Menahem Pressler, Ana Guijarro, Klaus Hellwig, Ralf Gothóni, Márta Gulyás, Stephen Kovacevich, Horacio Gutiérrez, and so on. For four years, he was a student at the Reina Sofía School of Music with Galina Eguiazarova, a major influence on his playing. He has had an intense solo activity with symphony orchestras such as those of Malmö, Spanish Radio and Television, Seville and National Young Orchestra of Spain, with conductors such as Marc Soustrot, Adrian Leaper, Juan Luis Perez, Christian Arming and Victor Ambroa, and in venues like Auditorio Nacional in Madrid. He has participated in festivals such as Verbier Festival, Encuentro de Musica y Academia de Santander, and Festival de Les Arcs, amongst others. He currently lives in Berlin, where he continues his training in the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler with Professor Eldar Nebolsin.
